Pastor Stephanie L. Quarles

Executive Pastor and Elder

info@nucnr.org

Stephanie L. Quarles has a powerful ministry and an even more powerful testimony. The Mount Kisco, New York native has been able to take her pain and brokenness and use it to fuel her drive to help other men and women beaten down by life to heal. In her book, 'Birthed Out of Brokenness', Pastor Quarles takes readers along the path she took from disaster, pain and hurt to claim her destiny as a powerful healer and inspirational figure. The deep, heartfelt, moving messages in her book and her ministry have helped many people to overcome heartbreak, rebuild relationships, rekindle their spirits and live, loving, fulfilling, productive lives.

A career in Christian ministry was not the goal of Stephanie Quarles when she graduated from high school in Bedford Hills. When she was hired by IBM in 1991, her mission was to make her mark in Corporate America. Her outstanding contributions and countless awards she won during the almost 24 years she spent with IBM are proof that Stephanie L. Quarles did just that.

To improve her knowledge base and gain more valuable skills, while working at IBM Stephanie L. Quarles attended Concordia College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor's Degree. She then went on to earn an MBA at the University of Bridgeport in 2000, again garnering Magna Cum Laude honors. While building her career and pursuing her educational goals, Stephanie Quarles didn't neglect her spiritual growth. She attended Bethel Baptist Church where she also worked as the Church's Secretary and the Pastor's Administrative Assistant from 1993 until 1998 and where she began to show her spiritual gifts.

In 1998, Stephanie L. Quarles heeded the direction of the Lord's call and joined Union Baptist Church. After she began developing her spiritual gifts, found her voice, and gained experience, in 2000 she was promoted to Executive Minister and C.O.O. During that same period people were beginning to recognize her business expertise. She was given business awards for 'Woman of Excellence' and 'Excellence in Enterprise Award' by New Rochelle New York based Monroe College in 2003.

OUR HISTORY

The New Union Church of New Rochelle (previously known as Union Baptist Church) is one of New Rochelle’s earliest African- American religious organizations (established in 1913) and is currently a multicultural congregation home to over 250 Parishoners. Many live in New Rochelle, but others commute from New York City as well as Fairfield, Putnam and Rockland Counties.

This church was built in 1904 for the Salem Baptist congregation, which organized in 1849. According to the New Rochelle BID, the architect Arthur Bates Jennings configured the interior using the Akron Plan, an open spatial arrangement seen in only a few Westchester churches today.
